A scrapbook of any wedding is different than a picture album of the wedding. I believe a picture album is always to showcase the photos taken in the wedding. I believe a scrapbook on the wedding is usually to share the story from the days/years before the wedding then share photos in the event itself.
The following suggestions are simply that, suggestions. There is no right or wrong in developing a scrapbook. It is my goal to offer some thought starters to developing a wedding scrapbook.
Consider beginning from a few photos of their bride plus the groom as children. Add several photos ones as teens after which some photos with the couple in the dating process.
During the design stages, often banquet rooms are viewed, dresses and tuxedos are viewed, and invitations are considered. Taking a number of photos with the various planning days are excellent additions to the scrapbook. If the bridal shop allows it, it may be fun for taking photos in the bride in each dress she tries on.
When you end up picking a banquet room, take a number of photos on the room empty. Take a couple of photos from the building housing the banquet room.
Once a menu is set on, save a copy with the menu furnished by the banquet room. One event I helped with, we actually made the menu ourselves. We wanted guests to understand what was being served that night so we included our self made menu within the scrapbook.
You’ll should also save one copy of all in the following:
• An invitation
• An R.S.V.P. card
• A place card
• A many thanks note
• A copy from the guest list
If you order candy wrappers, or some other wedding favor, save one for the scrapbook. If you use a D.J. or possibly a band, save certainly one of their business cards, or considered one of their brochures, relating to your scrapbook. If you hire any other type of entertainer, again, save a small business card or brochure.
As you want your wedding, it is usually fun to journal purchasing. There will always be mishaps along the route and as you're celebrating a anniversary, you may laugh on the mishaps along with the other notes you took while you planned.
When the R.S.V.P. cards appear in, frequently folks will write personal messages. Save those. Just like a secondary school yearbook, it’s fun to come back and read what others wrote, a few years later.
And now, the day in the wedding has arrived. It’s time to look at those photos that you’ll want for both the wedding photo album and also your wedding day scrapbook.
